2024 Golf Outing Takeover!
Newsletter article published on 3/29/24

We are exactly ONE MONTH away from NJ ACCA’s famous Golf Outing! Golf Chairs Bob Harriett and Bill Taylor kindly shared all the reasons why you should join the rest of our industry at Deerwood Country Club on April 29.

The Golf Outing wouldn’t exist without the committed contractors that make up our organization. NJ ACCA first began as Fred Hutchinson’s brainchild in 2011, under the name SJ HVAC Contractors Group, meeting in Fred’s office.

The group quickly took the local scene by storm and prompted the first Golf Outing a few years later in 2015. With this being Bob and Bill’s fifth year at the helm plus even more time served on the committee, the Golf Chairs have witnessed the festivities evolve while still preserving the core essence of camaraderie and sportsmanship. What started as a “drinkfest” has grown to be a staple of the NJ ACCA experience. With Deerwood’s pristine course and their amazing staff, you can’t go wrong. If you’re worried about a disastrous showing you had the last time you hit the links, fear not. Many of our participants are not playing for a green jacket (but Bob will be giving it his best shot).

When asked about their favorite Golf Outing memories, Bill’s claim to fame was “winning” the putting contest one year (if you know, you know). Bob McAllister’s MC song and dance is also a fan favorite. Another source of good vibes is seeing Greg Farrow at the range with a cigarette hanging out his mouth. “So Tin Cup…” Like any sport, any golfer worth their chops has a lucky charm. Before the first hole, Bob participates in a little liquid luck in the form of a Manhattan, while Bill appreciates the amazing volunteers and their cheering.

The NJ ACCA Golf Outing is a great way to get out in a relaxed atmosphere, network and share ideas with your peers, create memories with your associates, and have fun! Be sure to register below—this year is sure to be the best Outing yet!
